Texas is one team that has surprised me early on. They were a pre-season top 5 selection and have just struggles out of the gate, going 5-7. Texas St. is a team that I could see entering the top 30 soon. The Bobcats are now 9-3 with a big win over Rice yesterday evening. With a series win over UT Arlington(9-4) they should get there.

If I remember correctly, Texas State was ranked 21st before their one game series with Rice due to that shutout streak. Because it said #21 Texas State upsets #4 Rice |
