The Redskins acquire the 2nd pick in the draft from the Rams for the 6th pick this year, 1st round draft picks in 2013 and 2014 and a 2012 2nd round draft pick
It looks like RG3 is going to Washington!!

But yet, from what I have heard on ESPN, they could still be going after Manning.....good idea?

But yet, from what I have heard on ESPN, they could still be going after Manning.....good idea? No. Here' why. Tony Dungy had a radio interview on ESPN about where Peyton will sign. He said Peyton does not and will not want to play for an NFC east team because he doesn't want to challenge Eli and battle him for the division and a playoff spot. Peyton prefers to stay in the AFC. But now with the Redskins getting the 2nd pick which will likely be used on RG3, they can use their cap space to be a big player in free agency to get some players around RG3 and build around him. They could go out and get somebody like a Marques Colston or Vincent Jackson (which I dont want them to do because I would really want V Jack with the Texans.) and maybe still have enough money to re-sign RB Tim Hightower. But we will see. Only time will tell. The best fit for Peyton in my opinion is Miami since he has a condo in Miami and has Reggie Bush and Brandon Marshall there. Not to mention the chances of him luring Reggie Wayne back to Miami where he played college ball. |
