The town of Cameron has just been awarded a 1 million dollar grant towards to construction of a "special events center." This will be sports related and will be built on the outskirts of Cameron(near the Budget Host Motel/Scott & White). From what I can gather, this is just a very small part of the grand scale of what is to come. This grant will be used for "site preparation and utility work". I am speculating here, but I feel the Drayton Mclane is going to be in on this as well, as he was with the new Baylor Football Stadium. More details should be forthcoming.
